Growing up in the culturally diverse environments of Japan and Korea, Hyunwoong developed an interest in cross-border innovation from an early age. He began his career in venture capital at SBI, focusing on overseas investments across various sectors. Hyunwoong holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Astrophysics from Nagoya University. During his studies, he discovered a passion for startups, which led him to start his own project supporting foreign students in Japan and to intern at Nagoya University, helping researchers bring their scientific research to commercial viability.
